I am an adult child of an Alcoholic Parent.
The only reason I am not an alcoholic is because at the age of 13 at a Billy Graham program for Youth in Birmingham, Alabama, I made the decision to surrender my heart and life to Jesus Christ. Finding real “Victory” in life is a paradox because it is only found by first “surrendering”.
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. - 1 Corinthians 15:57
Now I did not become that ‘victorious’ Christian immediately, I had a lot of learning, growing and healing to do. But, God keeps His promises, and I am becoming ‘WHOLE’ in and through Christ Jesus. You can too!
If we don’t accept the true Savior, we will constantly try to become our own redeemer or search for one in other flawed humans.

- Are you frustrated when your expectations of others falls short?
I have GOOD NEWS for you. “THERE ARE NO PERFECT PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD. YOU CANNOT ACHIEVE PERFECTION ON YOUR OWN”! What’s the ‘good news’ you say,about that? It’s that YOU don’t have to be perfect! God loves you just the way you are!
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23
The definition of “sin” is missing the mark or in other words ‘not being perfect’. - Luke 18:19
“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. So you see, from God’s Word – The Holy Bible – God alone is good and perfect. So what do I do about my frustrations and futile striving for perfection? I SURRENDER control of my life to Jesus Christ!
Jesus Comforts His Disciple: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." - John 14:1-3
